 The Versatile Image: Photography in the Era of Web 2.0, Sunderland (UK)

On 24th – 26th June 2011, I and Irwan Ahmett were invited to give presentation of our project, Urban Play at the The Versatile Image: Photography in the Era of Web 2.0 Conference in University of Sunderland. 

The conference explored the ontological, conceptual, technical, and aesthetic premises of photography in the era of Web 2.0; the changing use, exhibition and social value of contemporary vernacular imagery; the mutation of photographic genres and their currency in different online contexts of viewing; the blurring of the boundaries between the private and the public, and the related issues of voyeurism, exhibitionism and ethics. http://www.photography-at-sunderland.co.uk/Versatil%20image/Abstracts.html

Talk at Parkingallery, Tehran (IR)

Had a perfect lucky coincidence travel companion, meeting with the most influenced guy in young contemporary art scene in Tehran. It was like how the universe was so generous to us. All of a sudden, the 2 weeks planned trip to Iran without knowing anybody ended up in a quite busy trip; visiting galleries, dinners, discussions, a talk, a workshop and a project.
