A site-specific project in Recklinghausen, Germany worked together with KUNSTrePUBLIK (May 2014) part of their two years project Arkipel In√est which responds to the specific conditions in the Ruhr Area and develops models that deal with the future of the post-industrial Western world. Coming as the tourist development assistance from the Indonesian archipelago, we relocated the equator in the middle of the city of Recklinghausen, searched for and made seven imaginary islands in the city visible to citizens in series of interventions and activities.
